Salt River Kayaking

There is no better way to enjoy the cool water, escape the summer heat, and marvel at the beautiful wilderness that is the Tonto National Forest than to go kayaking on the Salt River! Launching from Saguaro Lake Ranch, you will paddle down the Salt River (2.5 hour trip) below beautiful scenery. You could see wild horses, deer, great blue herons, osprey, bald eagles, and other native wildlife. Sign-ups start August 14. Sign-up closes Friday, August 18 at 5pm. Meet at ODR at 6:45am, depart from ODR at 7am. Arrive at 10am for orientation and start of the adventure! Return home after the trip, stopping as the group sees fit about eating or heading back.
