Davis-Monthan AFB Homeschool Group

The intent of this group is to support and offer a homeschool community to Military Families of DMAFB. We encourage those seeking to homeschool or are actively or preparing to homeschool K-12 children.

Tutor.com for US Military Families

Tutor.com for U.S. Military Families, funded by the U.S. Department of Defense and Coast Guard Mutual Assistance, is a program that provides on-demand, online tutoring and homework help at no cost to eligible service members, civilian personnel, and their dependents. With live, expert tutors available 24/7, military-connected students can receive academic help at their moment of need—anywhere they have an internet connection.

Military Child Education Coalition (MCEC)

MCEC is a professional Coalition with a diverse community consisting of public school districts, private schools, colleges and universities, small businesses and corporations, nonprofit organizations, military commands and installations, military families, and caring individuals from local communities across our Nation.

Borman K-8

Borman is the only TUSD school on Davis-Monthan AFB and serves military families. It has expanded into a K-8 campus. Teachers closely track comprehension and have cross-grade partnerships to ensure students are learning what they need for their grade levels and are ready for the next.

Sonoran Science Academy at DM

Sonoran Science Academy is a free, public charter school for grades 6 through 12 located at Davis-Monthan AFB. It provides a rigorous, college prep, STEM-focused education through a challenging, comprehensive curriculum, continuous assessment, and dedicated teachers.

Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) helps families take the guesswork out of choosing care by providing information about local child care programs, state licensing rules and regulations, availability of child care subsidies, and quality child care indicators.

Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA)

The Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) program is an account administered by The Arizona Department of Education that is funded by state tax dollars to provide educational options for qualified Arizona students. By opting out of the public school system, parents can seek a range of alternative educational services, such as private school or home-based education.

Home School

Homeschooling is an option to parents within Pima County. Contact the Pima County School Superintendent's Office for more information.

Airman & Family Readiness Center Resources

Personal Financial Readiness Services

Personal Financial Readiness is a free service offered base-wide by the Airmen & Family Readiness Center. It is designed to help both single airmen and military families successfully manage their personal finances by providing educational programs and personal assistance when needed.

Military & Family Life Counselor (MFLC)

The Military and Family Life Counseling Program supports service members, their families, and survivors with non-medical counseling worldwide. Trained to work with the military community, military, and family life counselors deliver valuable face-to-face counseling services, briefings, and presentations to the military community both on and off the installation.

Child Development Centers

The Military and Family Life Counseling Program supports service members, their families, and survivors with non-medical counseling worldwide. Trained to work with the military community, military, and family life counselors deliver valuable face-to-face counseling services, briefings, and presentations to the military community both on and off the installation.

Family Child Care

Family Child Care (FCC) is a great alternative to the CDC for childcare. FCC providers are independent business operators and work under their own contracts with the parents of the children they care for. There are FCC providers on Davis-Monthan as well as several affiliated providers in the surrounding area.

School Age Program

The School Age Program (SAP) recognizes the needs of working parents and their children and offers School Age Care as a year-round program. Our program provides supervised recreational, educational, social, and cultural programs for eligible youths ages 5-12 in a safe and healthy environment.

Youth Center

We have a terrific Youth Center with awesome programs. We know you will have fun and make a lot of new friends while you are here. Davis-Monthan YP has sports, instructional classes, and programs to offer for ages 3-18. We also have an indoor gym, technology labs, clubs, sports and leagues, and college/career prep.

The Youth Center is happy to welcome back our families and members as we transition into full-day programming. As is the case FSS-wide, we are following strict cleaning procedures to minimize risk and ensure members a carefree and relaxed experience hanging out with us.

FSS Facility Hours

Due to recent events, the following FSS facilities will be experiencing new hours and availabilities:

  • Benko basketball courts closed until further notice.

  • Indoor Pool (Benko) closed until further notice. Lap swimming will resume at the Outdoor Pool by reservation only.

  • ITT closed until further notice.

  • Pool parties at the Outdoor Pool unavailable until further notice.

  • A&FRC is taking appointments Mon-Thurs 8am-4pm and Fri 8am-3pm. Walk-in service available with physical distancing and masks from 9am-2pm Mon-Thurs.

  • Benko & Haeffner Fitness Center will be operating on 24-hour CAC access for Active Duty & their dependents ONLY. Closed daily from 1300-1500 for cleaning. Authorized patrons can attend CAC Registration hours will be Monday-Friday from 6-8am and 4-6pm.

  • Benko Racquetball Court is open to a 2-person maximum per court.

  • Fitness Center classes have resumed with 15-person maximums.

  • Civilian Personnel Office & NAF Human Resources are open to walk-ins Mon, Wed-Fri from 8am-4pm. Appointments must be made for Tuesdays from 10:30am-4pm.

  • DEERs & CAC ID Office will be open to those with military personnel emergencies or appointments ONLY until further notice.

  • FamCamp is open Monday-Friday 9am-3pm. New guests will be accepted. Three guests are permitted inside the Lobby at a time; masks are required. For all inquiries, please call (520) 747-9144.

  • Professional Development Center is operating at reduced hours and by appointment only. Testing will continue. Please call 228‐ 0669 to schedule.

  • Arts & Crafts will be open Monday-Friday 9:30am-5pm. Appointments can be made in advance and are encouraged. Five customers are allowed in the facility at a time. Masks are required. Please call 228-4385 for reservations.

  • Auto Hobby will be open Tuesday-Saturday 9am-5pm and Sunday 10am-5pm. Call to make reservations for services and bay use. Please call 228-3614 for reservations.

  • Cece's Barber Shop will be open Mon-Fri 10am-6pm with Active Duty priority hours from 11am-1pm daily. Please call 520-748-8710 to book an appointment.

  • DM CDC & Finley CDC have resumed normal operations.

  • DM Lanes bowling alley and dining at Headpin Cafe & Sports Hub are open Tuesday-Thursday from 11am-7pm and Friday-Saturday from 11am-11pm.

  • Lodging is open and operating normal hours. However, those with Priority 1 status will be given preference.

  • Outdoor Recreation is open and operating normal hours. All trips/rentals must be paid for over the phone or in-person with a reservation. Call 228-3736 to schedule a time.

  • School Age Program has resumed normal hours.

  • Skeet & Trap Range will be open Thursday, Saturday & Sunday 7-11am. Masks are not required but social distancing will be enforced.

  • Stripes Cafe is open for dine-in and to-go orders Monday-Friday from 6am-2pm.

  • Youth Center has resumed normal hours.

Health Precautions

Stop the Spread of Germs

Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.

Clean and disinfect frequently used objects and surfaces.

Stay home when you feel sick except to get medical care.

If You Feel Sick

Stay home. Do not report to the 355th MDG Clinic.

Wear a face mask.
