Thanks for playing!
We hope you had a stellar time!
"Intergalactic Quarantine Quest" is our newest virtual base-wide event that will take you on a two-week adventure through the galaxy and beyond. This expedition is a little bit Space Camp, a little bit Star Wars, a little bit honoring "Month of the Military Child", and everything in between.
Each week will feature new activities, trivia, competitions, and scavenger hunts where your participation earns you both points and expanded knowledge. At the end of the event, we will have a stellar celebration on May the Fourth where we draw winners for our $3,000 in prizes and announce any contest winners!
Throughout this event, we were blessed with the opportunity to have some incredible Special Guests appear to talk about all things space! Check them out below and enjoy the knowledge, passion, and excitement that each of them brings to the conversation.
Scott Kelly is a former military fighter pilot and test pilot, an engineer, a retired astronaut, and a retired U.S. Navy captain. He commanded the International Space Station (ISS) on three expeditions and was a member of the yearlong mission to the ISS. In October 2015, Kelly set the record for the total accumulated number of days spent in space, the single longest space mission by an American astronaut.
Vanessa E. Wyche is the deputy director of NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. She assists with leadership of a broad range of human spaceflight activities, including NASA's astronauts, Mission Control, development and operation of human spacecraft in low-Earth orbit and plans for human missions to the Moon and Mars.
Emily Calandrelli, aka "The Space Gal", is an MIT-engineer turned Emmy-nominated science TV host. She has been featured as a correspondent on Bill Nye Saves the World, FOX's Xploration Outer Space, and is soon releasing her own show on Netflix called Emily's Wonder Lab. She is also the author of the Ada Lace Adventures children's book series, which was sent into space to be read aloud by astronauts.
